Terms & Conditions
Last updated 25 September 2026
1. Who we are
Scriba is provided by Individual Entrepreneur Bloom and Beyond ("we", "us"). When you use Scriba you are entering into an agreement with Individual Entrepreneur Bloom and Beyond.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account or continuing to use Scriba, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3. The service
Scriba turns lecture recordings, uploads and YouTube captions into transcripts, summaries, chapters, quizzes, flashcards and answers to your questions, using artificial intelligence. Features and limits depend on your plan (Free, Scriba Pro, or Semester Pass) as described on the Pricing page.
4. Your account
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
- Keep your login details confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Scriba. In particular you must not:
- use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to send spam;
- upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy, or record people without the permission required by law or by your institution;
- upload or generate illegal content, hate speech, harassment, deepfakes or malware, or try to bypass the AI's safety filters ("jailbreaking");
- interfere with security — probing, scanning, scraping, reverse engineering, or overloading the service;
- resell or redistribute the service, or circumvent plan limits.
6. Your content and AI output
You keep ownership of the recordings and material you upload and must have the right to use them. You give us a limited licence to store and process that content only to provide Scriba to you. You are responsible for your inputs and for how you use outputs. AI-generated transcripts, summaries and answers can be inaccurate or incomplete — check them against the source, and do not rely on them as professional (legal, medical or financial) advice without qualified review.
If you believe content on Scriba infringes your rights, contact us through the support details below and we will review and remove it where appropriate. Repeated infringement leads to account termination.
7. Content moderation
We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, and suspend accounts that break these terms.
8. Our intellectual property
Scriba — its software, design, documentation and branding — is owned by Individual Entrepreneur Bloom and Beyond. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it within your plan.
9. Payments, subscriptions and refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, renewal, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. Scriba Pro renews automatically each month or year until cancelled; you can cancel any time in Settings and keep Pro until the end of the paid period. The Semester Pass is a one-time payment for 4 months and does not renew. See our Refund Policy for our 30-day money-back guarantee.
10. Availability
We work to keep Scriba running well but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can delete your account at any time in Settings; your lectures and data are then permanently deleted.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scriba is provided "as is" without implied warranties, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost data, profits or goodwill), and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
13. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will show the new date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Individual Entrepreneur Bloom and Beyond is registered, and its courts have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
14. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact Individual Entrepreneur Bloom and Beyond through the support email shown in your purchase receipt.
